Huge insight into human motives. Helped me understand myself and others in a way I never had before. My life has become easier because of it -- now I know why I have certain likes, dislikes, quirks, and why heeding them reduces my stress load so much.

P.S. There is no advantage to being an introvert. Per the book. So don't get your hopes up about that.

I read this because it was on Kobo Plus and I am interested in the topic of temperament styles. The beginning was full of interesting studies and thoughtful information but overall the book was really strange and full of odd advice. I recommend anyone interested in the topic read, "Quiet" written by Susan Cain instead.

Some good insights I wish I saw years ago... but now they are so main-stream. I'd like to see an update of this title; already the "psychology" seems dated.

I read this book to understand the introverts in my life more and learned so much more than I anticipated on how to take care of my introverted side. Practical ideas, compassion for all our personalities, and a delightful authors voice. I have felt recommend this book to introverts and extroverts alike!

I read this in chunks over a period of time and need to re-read it start to finish in one go, again, I think.

This book would have been a life-changer when I was 19. But since I already know I'm an introvert, it was mostly just me nodding and acknowledging that which I already knew. Abandoned at page 118.

Very insightful. This should be required reading for everyone - introverts and extroverts alike. This dispels myths about what classifies someone as an introvert and goes into great detail about how both introverts and extroverts can help one another.

I read a little bit of this, and I found a few things that resonated, but mostly what I realized is that I am not a "self-help books" type of person. I've never read one all the way through. Probably that says more about me than the fact that I picked it up in the first place, but I won't speculate about that!

There are good reminders and tips for introverts but also a lot of blanket statements that I think are not really exclusive to introverts.
