My currently reading list is getting insane and this one isn't exciting me very much at the moment.

reading this book has been my first proper introduction to philosophy, and i’m so so glad i stumbled upon it at the bookstore. easy to follow, and klein manages to condense a wealth of ideas into bite-sized chapters. more thoughts to follow after i make it out of my current existential crisis LOL

I thought I'd like this book but I did not, I can't quite put my finger to why that is, maybe it's the simplification or the repetition, it read like an essay, a brief introduction to philosophy but the author will pop in then and there to remind how he has had a promiscuous life (in a very subtle manner) and then drop hints about the life he has had, the kind of contact he has and everything which isn't a bad thing by itself but it just wasn't for me, I did learn a few new things which was the point of the book, to make philosophy accessible and so I rate it 2.25 stars.

A delightful and slightly wry look at selected thoughts from the great thinkers, as collected by the author in his earlier days.
He accompanies each shared philosophical bite with his thoughts on the thinks from the vantage point of his eighties.
I love it - it gives me something to think about all day.
