Another Will Trent x Grant County crossover, giving us a deeper understanding of Sara’s origin story. I absolutely loved it.

I always enjoy diving into the world with Will Trent. There’s just something about this cast of characters that has my heart and I’m always going to come back for more. This one is pretty intense and has a decent amount of triggers connected to it, including SA, which is something to be aware of before going in as it plays a huge part in this entire storyline. With that being said, I think that the subject matter was handled well and done in a way that allows us to see it from not only the law enforcement view, but the medical and victims point of view as well. It lets us into the minds of everyone involved in the process and it’s interesting. The way it ends is a bit abrupt and it didn’t feel very satisfying after everything that happened, but I guess that’s how it goes in actual cases sometimes too. Either way, if you like the Will Trent series, this is a solid installment and I recommend.

Not an easy read with rape being the subject matter but the author sure does weave a great story which includes frightful statistics.
