My god this book put me through the ringer. It started off with our usual brand of Tate and Logan. It ramped up our excitement! They've purchased a house! YAY! and then about halfway through BAM! Ella Frank hits us with a curve ball to say the least. Thankfully she fixes this little boo boo because I am sure she doesn't want readers showing up with pitch forks at her house. Now for the fun stuff... We get to see a little more of Robbie/ Priest interaction hehe. I am a sucker for enemies to lovers ( hint hint Ella). A fun getaway with all our favs for a certain anti birthday boy. Finally we get to see a glimpse of the life Tate left behind. There is a reason this book is called Tate. I think he went through every emotion known to mankind throughout this book. There is a lot of reflection: Both how happy he has been over the years, but also what he gave up when he chose his life with Logan. Hard Topics are brought to light and both Tate and Logan have their eyes opened. With that being said I still cannot wait until the last book ( *sniff sniff* I hate goodbyes). I actually started the last 3 in this series because I misread and thought book 6 was being released Dec. 15th. I knew how much I love these guys and didn't want to have to wait for the next in the series. Thankfully Ella Frank has pushed BACK the release date to Dec. 21st instead of January. Merry Christmas to US! 4.5 stars

My favourite of the series thus far. I fall a little bit more in love with Logan and Tate as each book is read but this one, this broke my heart over and over for so many reasons.
Ella Frank creates a world for these men that is so vivid that you almost feel you can feel the cold air on your cheeks as they walk about their city, or breathe in the mix of perfumes and colognes whilst ordering a drink at The Popped Cherry. I love such vivid beautifully intricate weaving of words and Ella always delivers.

Shimmer my timbers comrades - this one... TATE was definitely a turn of events. I will just admit that right now. I don't know if Ella Frank is trying to send me into an anxiety attack with these tear jerk moments or pound my ovaries in an overdose of orgasmic jilling inspiration.
Whew...
I think as this series continues it is becoming more and more relevant to me that these needed to happen. Again, the first three books left on a point of satisfaction but honestly this continuation, at least in my opinion, was something that needed to be told for Tate and Logan. TEASE left off on this note of Logan finally realizing that he is not afraid of the commitment as he was previously, he wants Tate completely and utterly submitted to him, in Logan's life in every humanly way possible.
This is definitely what TATE is all about. The angst and emotional climatic situations that influence our duo is just heart pounding this round. Their love up to this point has always been so powerful, intensely satisfying but now we are reaching that point for the couple of really trusting one another more than they thought possible. What they thought the other wanted has changed, what they thought was happening was bigger than they expected.
Because of this we have a little more push and pull on the tugs of the emotions of our characters and in some ways not in the way I expected. Logan is really exploring more desires, more emotional spectrum to how he wants to approach their relationship. Of course this takes Tate by surprise, new feelings and past conflicts really resurface for him; he has some huge fears that he isn't sure he can overcome.
Though their sexual connection has always had this heat about it, with Logan's insecurities and Tate's anguish turns their love making into somewhat a soul searching for the two. They really bare their souls and emotions to each other. It makes me swoon, shed tears, laugh all over again as they rediscover one another.
Bottom line - I have said it before and I will say it again.... pick up this series. I am dying to know what is about to happen in TRUE because after that cliffhanger I cannot just stop here. The raw emotions that I felt for Tate and Logan are undeniably intense, it is beautifully delicious.
