first of all definitely check trigger warnings on this one, it’s not out of place but i had no idea it was coming and i think if the event i’m referring to was a trigger for me it would have been upsetting. this book is a lot more emotional than most of the romances i pick up but i liked that! deals with some super serious issues that i don’t see a lot of in these types of books. i liked the female lead quite a bit but i just didn’t really click with the male lead. he was caring and had some actual personality just not someone i related to in anyway. i would not be friends with him irl lol. so also i wanna talk about the ending. i really wish that they had their baby another way. i know miracle pregnancies like this DO happen (actually how one of my sisters was born) but they are not common. i also thought it would have been awesome to see a woman who WANTS kids very badly still have a hysterectomy. she did not deserve that pain and there are other ways to have children. other ways that she and her partner were both preparing to try! idk i guess i just think reading a book where the happy ending includes adoption and/or surrogacy or just generally a less common way for children to enter a family would have been amazing. </spoilers>
