While this book had a lot of things I didn't love (hello "not like other girls" energy) I still enjoyed it and will forever love everything Abby writes

Things I didn't like about the book:
1. Josh came off as misogynistic in a few, passing, brief narrations, but it was never addressed or acknowledged. It seemed needless, considering he is painted out to be this amazing, flawless guy.
2. I feel the back and forth between Kristen and Josh lasted a few chapters too long for me, especially considering the drama and loss of the ending. I understand that the drawn out nature of their relationship was meant to be trivial to emphasize Kristen's stubbornness and Josh's devotion. Still, I would have sacrificed those few chapters for more details about their life together
after marriage
, and about Sloan.
3. This kind of goes along with #2, but the narration of the love these two characters had for each other and the obstacles they faced in making that love official with a relationship was awfully repetitive. The intensity of their obstacles was described in almost every chapter, it seemed, sometimes being repeated in the same scene every few lines in the character's inner dialogue.
4.
I don't think Brandon needed to die! I think there would have been a similar effect had he survived with the serious damage that was expected, not just the physical injuries he sustained but the brain damage, too. Sloan could still have convincingly shown Kristen the error of her stubborn ways;  her selflessness toward her husband as she cared for him as his most vulnerable could have shown Kristen that love is love, no matter what physical conditions one does or doesn't have. Brandon's death felt like a needless sacrifice, because Sloan, who we'd known from the start of the book and was a pretty major side character, is left at the end of the book with nothing but grief.

Things I loved about the book:
1. As cliche and picture-perfect as it was, I really enjoyed the depiction of Kristen and Josh in love. It made me reflect on my own love for my boyfriend and the little things that really matter the most between two people. It made me want to hug him, to love on him more.
2. The friendships, the love relationships, and the personal struggles in the book all touched me and made me emotional. I like when a book makes me feel things!
3. The accident added another dimension of seriousness and realness to the struggles of our protagonists. I like when a book explores trauma and the ways in which people handle it differently. It allowed us to see our characters in a new light, made them more human and realistic.

Overall, I loved reading this book and am looking forward to reading more by the author.

The lack of communication in this book annoyed me and I thought it went on for too long. But overall, this book was very cute.

I liked this a lot! Kristen and Josh were very well written- their interactions and thoughts seemed realistic and relatable. I enjoyed their camaraderie. The subject was serious but relatable. I enjoyed this!

Ugh rip my heart out! I was thoroughly annoyed by Kristen, but I loved this couple so much. The friendships, the romance. This was a full journey and if it's not a movie it would be one. 6 stars!
