This beautiful tear jerker! I enjoyed this story,  but Abby broke my heart. This book may trigger certain readers, so check the warnings before reading it. It's well written.  I love the characters and the plot is very well done.

I don’t know how to feel. did I cry? yes. did I like it? I guess. did I hate it. absolutely. 

I was mostly enjoying the first 3/4 (despite thinking the FMC was annoying) but the last quarter ruined it for me.
Brandon dying pissed me off. I think just as much could have been accomplished by him being hurt and surging too. the whole getting together and pining after each other while dealing with the death seems tacky to me, maybe it happens in real life too, but I hated it. I cried for Sloane, I was more invested in their relationship which DIED than the characters it was supposed to be about. idk if I want to read Sloane find her person in the next book.
