At the Ivy League college St. Cloud, the hockey players are seen as dumb nuisances by the rest of the student body. It does not help that the men’s hockey team acts like pricks around campus. For the first year ever, St. Cloud has both a men’s and a women’s hockey team. Unfortunately this means the two have to share facilities and equipment.
On day one, Max Cassiano and Luz Rodriguez have a horrible run-in. This leads to open hostility between the two teams and it spreads like wildfire. Both Max and Luz are named captain of their respective teams and unfortunately have a class together. Luz vows to ignore him and focus on hockey and school. Max knows he has to focus on hockey if he ever wants to make it pro. Unfortunately, their professor has other ideas when he pairs the two “dumb” jocks together for their semester-long entrepreneurship project. But sparks begin to fly between the two and they begin to wonder if just maybe they can break their own rule…
Read if you like:
• hockey romance
• cinnamon roll men
• forced proximity
• rivals to lovers
• secret dating
• closed door romance (some spice but no actual on page sex)
CW: Luz suffers (pre book) an injury during hockey which impairs her ability to walk and gives her chronic pain. By the time of this book she is able to play hockey, but there is mention and description of this injury
