This book made me want to cry in anger. It was frustrating to read. Theon is a terrible MMC. He is selfish, dense, controlling, and a liar. He looked Tessa in the eyes and said "do you want to be a source" and she said no. Then what does he do, he makes her a source. Then says I would never force anything on to you, after he already forced the bond onto her.
It was also repetitive, where she would tell him she doesn't want this and his buddies would tell him she doesn't want this and he would just continue to say accept it, just accept it. They kept having the same argument, but not once did he sit down and actually talk to her like a person. He just kept telling her his expectations and how he wanted her to behave, how she needed to behave.
I honestly have no words for this book, it was just upsetting. Theon is not redeemable. I don't care if he bought her diamonds and dresses and provided for her, he took away her life, doesn't speak to her as a person and expects her to just be obedient. And then has the audacity to act like the victim when she won't let him touch her. I would be pissed too. Tessa has a right to be mad, he won't even let her have Donuts. That's how controling he is. she has no say about anything in her life anymore and he constantly hits his head upside the point of why she is mad, but yet doesn't change his behavior and still says he doesn't understand why she is upset. That's the whole premise of this book. 750 pages of reading about a woman who is trapped to a man, who doesn't see her as a person and doesn't actually hear the words that come out of her mouth.
