The Single Dad by Marni Mann
4.5
The Dalton's are back and this time single father Ford and his adorable daughter Everly take centre stage.
A daughter he learnt about when she was just a few days old and her mother decided that Ford should be the one to raise her.
Which is a job he has relished and clearly Everly is his number one girl. But when he meets twenty-two year, old Sydney Summers Ford is hooked and can't get enough of her.
Only Sydney thanks to Ford's cousin Hannah has applied to be Everly's nanny and when Ford learns of this he makes it clear Sydney has to choose between him and his daughter.
And Sydney chooses Everly.
A decision Ford respects. But the desire remains, especially when Sydney moves in and as time goes on the pair can't deny their growing feelings.
But Ford hasn't quite told Sydney the truth about Everly and her birth mum and Sydney hasn't quite told him the truth about how she came to apply for the job as Everly's nanny.
However, when disaster strikes the lies are the least of their worries.
And with plenty of heat, great characters, sweetness and some emotion. This was another fantastic read in the series and it's a story I would happily recommend to others. Especially if you love the single parent trope!
