A very enjoyable read!
Avery's characteristics were what one could expect from a young woman who has lived an extremely sheltered life where she had minimal contact with the outside world and minimal social contacts.
Due to that, I appreciated that Riel took his time teasing and courting her. I enjoyed the slow burn development of their relationship and the way in which Avery developed throughout the story. She didn't have a good sense of self, and we do see her coming into her own.
I would've loved to see a more in-depth look into the political conflict of the Fae world and the treatment of other Golden Children (kids born with magic) on the earth side of things.
Overall, I enjoyed this romantasy debut!
