Small town, USA is always a hotbed of intrigue and murder!
The trail of one of the FBI's Most Wanted has led back to Grady home town. Now he has to go undercover amongst people who know him. Who only know him as the reckless, proto-bad boy he was, not the talented, relentless FBI agent he has become. Similarly, Brynn has returned to Deception Cove to assist in running her family's diner well her mother fights cancer. She was the gossips main target due to her disastrous marriage - at least until Grady returned to town!
Former FBI Agent Eli Kane has been on the run for decades. Has he finally made a mistake that will bring him to justice? Or had he laid his very own trap?
I am never disappointed with a Toni Anderson book. She always manages to make her characters flawed, interesting and empathetic - even when you sometimes want to reach into the book and throttle them! Brynn and Grady were a great pairing and I loved the way they worked together. Fast paced, flaming chemistry and tender smexy times!
I did guess the big bad's identity before the reveal - so yay me!
