$20 Per Gallon: How the Inevitable Rise in the Price of Gasoline Will Change Our Lives for the Better by Christopher Steiner

4.0

A really inventive and thorough look at how the inevitably rising cost of oil will affect our lives over the coming years-- from the obvious transportation related adjustments to the less obvious change in food, industry, city layouts, shopping, family-life, and more. While Steiner describes certain outcomes as inevitable that a questioning reader might infer aren't foregone conclusions, the book still paints an interesting look into the future and causes you to rethink the status quo. I'm already one all in on the 'sustainability' wagon, but this book did a great job in showing some new reasons to feel that way. Highly recommend to anyone looking for pretty easy read into nation's energy future.
