Break the Ice by L.A. Cotton

5.0

L.A. Cotton delivers the hockey romance I didn't know I needed.

As Break The Ice delivers on every level with real and relatable characters, drama, angst, emotion, heat and heart. All wrapped up in a story that I genuinely couldn't put down.

As Aurora 'Rory' Hart moves to Lakeshore to start over and try and repair her fractured relationship with brother Austin a Hockey Player for the Lakeshore U's.

As well as forget her cheating ex and a mum who has spent years trying to get Rory to conform to a body image that is frankly unattainable.

Yet, Rory hadn't planned on having to move in with Austin and his two best friends and teammates Connor and Noah.

Or finding Noah Holden the most gorgeous, annoying, player EVER!

However, Rory's been burnt badly before and with little self-confidence she's determined to stay far away from the likes of Noah Holden.

Only Noah can't take the hint. As there's something about the quirky, shy Rory that calls to him. But only as a friend. As Ice Hockey is his lifeline away from his dad and a shitty childhood.

But time spent together soon has them both wanting so much more. If only their insecurities would allow them to take the leap.

And with a fantastic slow burn romance, humour and heart. This was a truly awesome read. That I would happily recommend to all.

My thanks to Wildfire Marketing and L.A. Cotton for the opportunity to read an early copy of Break The Ice.
