Grace is a matchmaker going through a messy divorce. She goes to Florida for a weekend away and meets Cash,  billionaire about to become CEO of his family's whiskey business. They have a whirlwind fling while on vacation. She never expects to see him again. When she rolls back into Boston, he is her new client.

Overall I liked that this book showed the messy side of a relationship. Things don't always go to plan and can get complicated really fast, especially if you are win the public eye.

I really liked Grace at the start of the book. She was a strong and determined woman who stuck to her guns. Her focus was on her career no matter what and didn't change for her manipulative husband, I can respect that. As the story went on, she began to make some questionable choices that made her life so much more difficult than needed.
Like not telling Marion about the divorce, or fake dating Jay.
She really just needed to take a breather and start thinking through her choices.

Cash has some major control issues. She was very honest about the situation and he was ruthless in his peruist of her, putting her in some very uncomfortable situations and pushing against her boundaries. He fell hard very fast, and unfortunately his brand of love is very possessive and controlling. If you go against him or if he thinks you broke his trust, then you are written off.

A few things I didn't love were the miscommunication and the immaturity of the MCs. If they were just honest and communicated many of the major issues could have easily resolved!

I didn't mind the ending, other than the miscommunication and snap judgements. I am looking forward to part 2.

Tropes: billionaire, insta love, forced proximity, forbidden.
