In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware
5.0
TW: drug use, brief mention of abortion.
This was a re-read for me and as a lot of people know, I am a huge Ruth Ware fan but omg I loved this book! I was hooked from the very beginning. This is definitely one of those books that is hard to review without giving spoilers but it is based on a young woman, Nora, who is invited to the hen party of her old best friend from high school who she hasn't spoken to in 10 years and despite her better judgement she RSVP's yes and attends the weekend in the middle of no where in a hauntingly dark wood! It was filled with twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the very end when the big reveal will make your jaw drop. As the storyline goes on it really draws you in and is so thrilling. And as it all unfolds you can't help but speed through it, it is such a great page turner and was the perfect read over the last few days when we've had snow
