Mrs S by K. Patrick

mixed responses - k patrick's writing is great, staccato rhythms, I think this abruptness works and its nice to see it in this more languorous setting rather than, say, mccarthy's wild west . the dynamic between our protagonist & Mrs s is about as typical as you get for lesbian romance (although a few scenes enliven it) - so much so that I feel the latter half's emphasis on CLICHE as a motif, a theme, speaks broader. if, Romantically, the moon, the Atlantic are lesbian, why not cliche itself? maybe maybe
