Rescued by the Orc Enforcer by Kate Rudolph

4.0

Andromeda (aka Meda) is aware that her father is a crook, a bully and ruthless man.  But he's her father and she has done her best to live by his rules.  She just wants to travel the solar system and see beyond the gilded cage she lives in.  But selling her off - and to someone with an even worse reputation than him? Nope, that is the last straw and Meda makes her break for freedom.

Vorok isn't your typical Orc.  He's more than a battling behemoth.  He has a brain but it doesn't get used much when the only jobs for Orcs are those which mean he flexes his muscles bot his brains.  He's not exactly a gangster but he's well aware of his his boss makes his living.  He would have moved on sometime ago but a certain boss' daughter snagged his attention.  She didn't treat him as less than and was sweet and pleasant to him.

Vorok is Meda's knight in shining armour and rescues her before she can be snatched up by her father's men.  But how far can a huge green Orc and one dainty human get before her gangster wannabe husband and furious father catch up with them?

Vorok is a delightful surprise as a MMC.  He has a good heart under all that machismo Orc posturing he has to wield like armour.  Meda may be naïve but she's not stupid or vapid, she's kind and wants to see the world.  She's not blind to her fathers dealing and doesn't want mush to do with him but she is kept on a seriously short leash.

The scene in Vorok's little home village was super steamy and it would appear that once you go green, you never go anywhere else, lol.

Short, sweet, smexy and a perfect lunchtime or hour's read.
