As per the blurb, Tessa is determined to move up in the male dominated world of video game coding, and she has a side project that will not only help her possibly get noticed by the engineering team at work but also help out her new friends as well. When she enlists the aid of her platonic roommate Adam, both of them realize there’s more than meets the eye, and both of them feel an alluring attraction the more they hang out together.
The premise was promising, but overall, I didn’t readily connect with this story in general. Maybe it was because I was unfamiliar with the various fandoms that were present here or maybe it’s because this read younger than the ages of the MC’s making the actions and reactions incongruent to my expectations. The blatant lack of editing also didn’t help my enjoyment, throwing me out of the story multiple times. These are personal issues so don’t take my word for it as plenty others have much to say on why they loved this.
An overall easy read, with a bit of sexy, that will appeal to fandoms, cosplayers, and gamers.
