Lanie has been a fan of Noa Calloway ever since she first picked up one of her novels. She has been the assistant to Noa’s editor and has been chatting with Noa via email for a few years now. When Noa’s manuscript is six months past due, and her editor isn’t coming back from maternity leave, Lanie gets her big break— get Noa to deliver a manuscript by May 15th and she gets her dream job. After signing an NDA, Lanie sets up a meeting with Noa, only to find out Noa is not at all what she expected…

This was such a fun read and one of the few slow burns that didn’t make me want to scream. Lanie has a list of everything she’s looking for in her perfect guy, but along the way she begins to realize love isn’t so clinical.
