I loved the idea of the book and the plot. I also loved the main points Noelle tries to bring across. That your self worth is not depending on your job. That it’s important that a relationship is balanced and both partners share their worries and trust the other partner.

However, for my taste there was way too much crying. Sometimes it felt like just someone had to look at Noelle and her eyes started to fill with tears. And I did not like the first encounter of Theo and Noelle in the book. The physical attraction while supposedly hating each other, I could not connect to.

I found the ending too short. It played out in just a time frame of days which to me does not seem to be believable. When someone has been told their entire life that they are not living up to other people’s expectations you can’t put that aside in a matter of days. It just seemed too simple. Noelle is very demanding and impatient at the end which does not fit to her own struggles throughout the book.

I loved the relationship that evolves between Paul and Noelle. That was very sweet. I also loved how willingly Theo shared Paul with Noelle from the beginning. Even though I also had a hard time  to find that believable.
