This novel is the sequel to Belladonna, which was the perfect October read last year, so I was excited to end this October with Foxglove.

After Signa’s uncle is framed for the murder of a duke, Death’s estranged brother, Fate, begins showing his face around town. Fate is determined to woo Signa and take revenge on Death. While Signa tries to thwart Fate and deal with her alarming new powers, the clock is ticking for her and her cousin, Blythe, to prove her uncle’s innocence.

Foxglove did not disappoint! It was fun to be back in this gothic setting and see Signa grow even more as a character. At first, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the chapters from Blythe’s perspective, but she really grew on me over the course of the book. It was fun to see her nosiness and stubbornness play out in the story. The atmosphere was perfect for October reading and I’m excited for the third book!
