I really wasn't sure about Mollie at first.  She was on the cusp of being that spoiled rich girl that I just can't stand and then she went and illustrated that sometimes first impressions can be so wrong!  Mollie was left feeling neglected, unwanted and not enough by a father she thought didn't want her but that was far from the truth and I loved the way she had to resolve herself to never being able to express her regret that she and her dad never really had a relationship after she left the ranch.

Cash is that enticing mix of dirty talking, hard riding cowboy with a smushy centre.  He's the heart and soul of the ranch and you can understand why he's so determined to keep it from the clutches of the money-grabbing city girl.  But as the story unfolds he sees that there is more to Mollie than the spoiled princess façade and just because she doesn't know ranching doesn't mean she can't run a business.

This was such a poignant story of dealing with grief, resentment, jealousy and deceit by a parent.

All the secondary characters have a part to play and none of them were just filler.  I loved the say that LGBTQIA+ characters were portrayed and they didn't seem gimmicky or stereotypical.  The town was inclusive and protective of its own without being a closed community.  Witty, smexy banter and an epic "in the barn" scene!
