The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary

5.0

TW: discussions of emotional and mental domestic abuse and domestic harassment/stalking.
As you all know I'm not a big romance fan but I've started branching out recently and this book was amazing! The storyline is so enthralling and page turning that you can't help but speed through it. You go through an absolute roller coaster of emotions as you read it from falling for the characters and cheering them on, to crying and feeling heartbroken and then feeling so angry before going full circle all over again! It follows Tiffy and Leon as they are flat mates but never actually physically meet and only communicate through notes. It shows how their relationship blossoms and becomes more than friendly. The chapters swap points of view between Tiffy and Leon and it is so beautifully written that you feel like it is two people telling their story as O'Leary not only changes her language for each character but also adapts her writing style. I cannot praise this read enough, I really loved it and highly recommend giving it a go if you haven't already.
