You know, call me a sap because it’s no secret that I full on adore reading about established couples in their day to day lives, so if that’s not your jam, just turn around and re-enjoy the first three books. Yes, this latest entry thankfully, doesn’t have a huge hurdle to overcome or any crazy angst or frustrating miscommunication. The fact that I never thought we’d get more of these two, makes this one fantastic present, and this is all about getting another chance to revisit a favorite and bask in their love.
The blurb would have you believe that these two might be headed into dullsville, and a big wakeup call is needed… but it’s not. They’re not. Logan is appalled by the thought that he and Tate might ever be one of those couples - boring and stuck in a pattern of mundanity. It pushes him to make some changes, because though Logan might balk at the idea of commitment, domesticity, and settling down, it’s those very things he subconsciously wants from Tate, but damn anyone who’s going to call him on it.
Hence, this is mainly about reprioritizing on both Logan and Tate’s part. They’re ambitious and their careers have been demanding, but they’re finally in a place to take a step back and focus on what’s important - each other. Rest assured though, there’s nothing to revitalize. These two are still scorching hot. Their possession and attraction for each other has only grown and of course, that includes their love.
So again, I revel in a continuation of a HEA (apparently even more so than the original trilogy) which basically means that this is just the beginning of one big epilogue with two more parts to go, and I couldn’t be happier than a pig in shit. If that isn’t what you want from your reads, you’re gonna be disappointed here. I, however, loved it hard. There’s nary a snag here - only a cementing of things and it was fun, it was sexy dirty, and at times, tenderly vulnerable and intimately endearing, in and amongst the insatiable hunger these two have for each other. Unf. I cannot wait for the next installment! It can’t come soon enough!!
