I didn't know anything about this book going into it except it's reputation as a good one. It wasn't stellar, and I didn't love it but I didn't hate it either. There was a lot of world-building to get through and that lasted quite a while. The tension didn't really get good for me until close to the end. My thoughts do come with the caveat that I read the audiobook, and that can greatly impact my enjoyment and impression of a book.
