After That Night by Karin Slaughter

5.0

As a massive KS fan, I was really excited when it was announced we had another Will and Sara to sink our teeth into. We've been waiting a long time!

Sara is caught up in a civil trial revolving around one of her ER patients, who was raped and then died. The accused, in the trial, is part of a larger ring of rapists and sadists, who get off of abducting and assaulting women for their own debased pleasure. When the trial is settled, Sara feels she's let down the dead girl, who she promised she'd get justice for. Sara and Will work together with Faith, Will's GBI partner, to take down the bad guys.

Another great book from KS. It's harrowing and graphic. There is a lot of gore and detail, but so much research and development of characters must have gone into this one. The medical jargon and information was so precise, I applaud KS for that. As usual, I loved getting back to W&S, but I could've done with a bit more Amanda. She's there - but only in the latter part of the book.

Overall, a fantastic read and I can't wait for instalment no. 12!!! :)
