My summary: Cali is a recent divorcee after a sexless marriage. Having never been able to fulfill her desires, she joins The Den, a sex club, with the intent of exploring her submissive desires. Jake, one of the founders of the club, is on the cusp of moving on to something else in life when he’s tasked with showing Cali around. What starts as a Scene becomes anything but typical as Jake wants more—for the first time ever.
My thoughts: Not great, but not the worst. I had higher hopes for a short and smutty novella. I enjoyed Lynda Aicher’s Boardroom series on audiobook, so I downloaded the Wicked Play series on Kindle hoping it’s similar. Maybe it’s because it’s not the audiobook, but it just didn’t measure up for me. I may or may not continue the series.
