Banic by Mina Carter
4.0
Another great offshoot series set in the Latharian Universe. This time around we get to see some HEA on Izaea.
Banic and his brother were banished from their tribe when they showed signs of turning feral. Banic has become a bit of a bogeyman and many of the inhabitants fear him on a visceral level. When he is captured after saving a human female, he is more dead than alive but hearing the voice of !an angel" helps him cling to life.
Beth is a human scientist who is studying the Izaeans in the hope of finding a cure for whatever is making them feral. She did not intend to be attracted to her test subject. To find his growly voice intoxicating or the very OTT protective and violent streak of his so attractive!
Beth is a great FMC as she sees past Banic's outer violent shell and into the heat of the man. The man who wants more for himself and his people than what they have been able to seek out so far. Banic is way more intelligent than they have been led to believe. Banic may be homicidal on occasion but Beth is his touchstone and I absolutely loved the way he looked after and attempted to teach the younger feral boys to harness their anger into protection of others.
Brilliant, fast paced and super steamy!!!
