5 Stars!!
I know I don't give out a lot of top scores but when something simply makes me happy, then I’m going to just call it like it is.
You know when you’ve read a series and you get little glimpses and snippets of characters here and there in various subsequent books and it’s just so much fun revisiting everyone?? That was this right here.
Man, I love this hockey universe that Wayland has created, and I loved seeing Rupert & Callum, Mike & Alexi, Chris & Tim. They’ve created a family on and off the ice, and while they live to give each other so much gleeful grief, they do it with love and support.
Add to it a seriously shy sweet gentle giant, newly aware of his MM inclinations with a healthy dose of longing, doubt, and insecurity, all with a nice slow burn that explodes with fantastic results. Unf.
I had a grin on my face the entire time I read this.
My only complaint is not a new one - this was way too short and sadly, that Wayland hasn’t written more.
