This was definitely a love letter to imaginative play that I think will work well with K5 classes and above. I read it to my 4 year old and while she loved it, I think the idea that a house could be more than a house was a little difficult for her to understand in the moment. The artwork was different, but in a good way. The characters of the book felt like paper dolls added to a more static background. I'm not sure if that was the intent of Lorraine Nam, but I really enjoyed it!
