This book had me choked up for Benji multiple times. He was trying so hard to do right by his son, Benji, and proof himself a worthy (co-)parent to Liv. 
I absolutely love this series. The found family vibes and character development are immaculate. It was nice to see Benji and Liv communicate about their insecurities and the ways in which they have grown since the last saw each other in high school. I loved that their issues didn't just disappear overnight. Benji and Liv felt real. Loved it.
