My summary: Kennedy is the Vice President of her family’s company that sells pallets. At a conference in Southern California, her eye is caught by a man across the room that has a commanding presence. When Kennedy later sees the same man at the hotel bar, she uncharacteristically hits on him and, at his insistence, they trade only first names and nothing work related. Matt is a single dad to his kids after his wife abandoned them all twelve years ago and recently purchased a trucking company. After a one night stand, Matt and Kennedy expect to never see each other again, despite being drawn to each other in inexplicable ways, until they meet again, in the Boardroom.
My thoughts: The full length conclusion to the Boardroom series was fine, but it was also my least favorite of the three audiobooks of the series (there are some novellas in the series that don’t have accompanying audiobooks). There’s spice, it was fine. There’s a plot, it was fine. The pinnacle event went over my head, I backed it up like four times to figure out what I was missing and never really did understand what exactly happened. I did really enjoy the narrators though, they were great.
Graphic: Cursing and Sexual content
Moderate: Abandonment
