I decided to read this novella right before season 2 of Heartstopper came out because I was so excited!

This book focuses on Nick and Charlie at the end of Nick’s last year of high school. He’s already been accepted to university and he and Charlie are trying to enjoy their time together before he moves away. But Charlie is having doubts and worries he’s holding Nick back while Nick is excited about uni but can’t understand what’s gotten into Charlie.

This was a super sweet way to get back into the land of Nick and Charlie before I watched season 2 of the show. It was a fun change to read about Nick and Charlie in the form of a novella rather than a graphic novel but I think I do prefer the graphic novels! The story felt very authentic and took me back to high school. It’s YA so you know Nick and Charlie have some growing up to do but their relationship is so genuine and it’s a joy to read about.
