I finished the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy the other day and I’m excited to read the next one! It took me a while to get into this book. I’m not sure if it’s because I enjoyed The Hobbit so much that I compared the two of them. Although the first half of the book moved a bit slowly for me, I loved the rest. I’ve liked getting to know the history of the one ring and how many hands it’s passed through as well as finding out more about Gollum. I’ve also enjoyed the new characters we’ve met such as Aragorn, Sam Gamgee, and Tom Bombadil. Remembering some of the places and people mentioned in The Hobbit has also been fun for me!
