I picked up this book immediately after finishing the first book in the series. I will admit that I was a bit intimidated by its length, but it was definitely worth it!

The story picks up with Feyre, the main character, about 3 months after the events of the first book. She is struggling to recover from the trauma she endured, while also trying to adjust to her new life. Soon she finds an unexpected ally, but with this new friend come more tough decisions and even deadlier enemies.

Wow, where do I begin with this book?! I so enjoyed getting to know more of the world Maas has created and meeting the new characters she introduces us to. I love the emotional, vivid way she portrayed Feyre’s internal struggles and I loved watching the character grow throughout the book. I found myself thinking about the story often when I wasn’t reading and that’s always a good sign that the story and characters are having an impact on me and will stay with me.

What an emotional rollercoaster! I can’t wait to read the third book!
