Well now... I really liked the idea of a road trip in memory of your grandma. And generally speaking, I liked the romance between two people who were rivals in high school 10 years prior to the trip.
But, unlike many readers, I didn't love the book. Noelle felt really immature to me. Lying to her parents about the nature of the trip to her parents made no sense to me. Why? Noelle made a big deal about other people keeping secrets (including her grandma, in Noelle's opinion) and yet she did it herself through most of the book.
