Well now... I really liked the idea of a road trip in memory of your grandma. And generally speaking, I liked the romance between two people who were rivals in high school 10 years prior to the trip.

But, unlike many readers, I didn't love the book. Noelle felt really immature to me. Lying to her parents about the nature of the trip to her parents made no sense to me. Why?
SpoilerAnd when she finds out that Theo's world is pretty much falling apart, she makes it all about her. Why should he have told her all of it when their relationship was still very new? And the author pretty much implied that he was in the wrong. He had the right to keep that information to himself after being in a relationship of 1 1/2 weeks, and while he was still working it all out.
Noelle made a big deal about other people keeping secrets (including her grandma, in Noelle's opinion) and yet she did it herself through most of the book.
