Removed my rating after thinking about this more.
This is a queer graphic novel, where the focus is the main character continuously rereads her favourite book. Sounds fine, right?
Well, this is a graphic novel set in Israel. There isn’t any mention in the synopsis, and that entirely feels intentional. If I knew it was set in Israel, I would not have picked it up.
The author seems very Pro-Palestine on X, but to then have your graphic novel set in Israel with absolutely NO mention of it in the book synopsis and readers find out after they start? I don’t agree with that.
