I’m so sad about this because I love Alaina and her podcast, but I was completely unable to get into the story. Within just a few pages I noticed very choppy sentences and repeated usage of words; characters were one dimensional and verb tense wasn’t consistent. A character might be walking, and then suddenly they were somewhere else or doing a different action. I was so excited about this book and I hope Alaina finds an amazing editor and hones her craft further.
