Lockdown by Peter May

5.0

I had been waiting to read this for so long and it did not disappoint! Peter May is an incredible thriller author at the best of times but this book is just a whole new level of great. It unearths so many twists and turns and ends in a way that kept me guessing until the very end. This entire storyline is scarily accurate compared to what has gone on during our own lockdown and really gets your mind working as to whether something like what happens in the storyline could actually happen in real life. Not only is this an incredibly written book but it is so much more intriguing because Peter May wrote this 15 years ago but no publishers would accept it as they said it would be impossible for whole countries to be put on lockdown and was too unrealistic to sell, then fast forward 15 years and Peter May was in lockdown himself at his home in France with army and police patrolling the streets so he digs out this beauty and sends it off again and this time it gets published. It is such a page turner and you will not want to put it down. I highly recommend everyone reads this!
