Genre: Smutty romance, fiction
My summary: Magnolia Maison is a former madam in New Orleans and is now trying to live on the right side of the law. Having been thrown out by her great-aunt when she was 16, Magnolia has done what she had to in order to survive. When Moses suddenly reappears in her life after promising her that he’d come back for her—fifteen years ago—she’s caught off guard by the threat he poses to her heart, but she also has to deal with an unknown threat to her life.
My thoughts: NOLA is my favorite city so I’m a sucker for anything set there. This is a gritty, smutty romance. It definitely ends on a cliffhanger, so I’ll be diving straight into the second story of the duet. It’s fast-paced and fairly short, so it was a quick read for me and I enjoyed it.
Graphic: Cursing and Sexual content
Moderate: Blood and Murder
Minor: Adult/minor relationship, Drug use, and Alcohol
