Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling

I'd seen all the movies and really thought I'd read the books, only to finally realize I never had. Clearly this was something I needed to change and with that, the first book is done and wow what a cover to cover source of constant smiles. There's just something delightful about a good story where good triumps, where adversity isn't something to shy away from, and where children are not considered fragile creatures to be coddled, but developing humans in need of direction and the space to explore. That's Hogwarts and where Harry has moments of childishness, it's good to see, because nobody is only one thing, even heroes.
