Remember yesterday when I posted that Against Medical Advice was my new favorite Ruth Anna Evans book? Yeah, I hadn't read this one yet. I went in blind, and it hit a little close to home, as I am intimately familiar with the thought process (such as it is) involved in manic episodes. Evans has such a way of building up dread, then the whole thing just explodes. I'll be thinking about the ending of this one for quite awhile, I think. 5 stars
