⚠️ TW: infertility/IVF, parental death, murder ⚠️ Wow, wow wow 🤯 This is the best book I've read so far this year and I think it may just be my new favourite by Alice Feeney! This story follows Amelia and Adam as they spend a weekend away in the remote Scottish Highlands to try and save their marriage, but what starts out as a romantic getaway soon takes a very dark turn making them question everything and everyone that they thought they knew. This was my most highly anticipated read of the year and it certainly didn't disappoint. It honestly blew my mind. Feeney is an absolute literary genius and everything about this book is perfect. Literally EVERYTHING. It is gripping, chilling, filled with jaw dropping twists and turns, incredibly clever and you will not want to put this book down. If I had the time I would have easily read it in one sitting. Also, I loved the different pov's between Amelia and Adam as well as the wedding anniversary letters. I don't even know what else to say about this book because it is so complex and hard ro review without giving spoilers you just have to read it to understand. It is the easiest 5 stars I've ever given a book and may even be up there with one of the best books I've ever read. Overall, if I ever influence you to read one book then make sure it is this one because omg it's just utter perfection of the thriller/horror genre world!! 👏🏼
