When to Jump: If the Job You Have Isn't the Life You Want by Mike Lewis

4.0

I'd recommend this book to anyone even daydreaming but not yet ready to really work on their 'jump'-- whether it's a new career, starting a business, move to a new city, or pursue any sort of dream. When to Jump is refreshing in that it's not just a 'self-help' book, but it's a collection of 40+ stories of people who have already done the type of jump you're considering. That means it reads really well in bite-sized chunks and provides advice and thought-nuggets from a variety of different perspectives. The only downside to this is that while there are stories that will speak to you, some of them will not be as related to your situation-- but there's inspiration to gain from there as well.

If you have a dream in the back of your head but you're not sure when, how, or even if to make that happen-- you won't regret picking up this book. Even better, it's a great one to have in hard copy rather than e-book because I can see myself picking this up from time to time to get reinvigorated with the motivation it provides.
