Strained family relationships, dealing with grief, reconnecting with friends and having to deal with your high school Ex. All the things that Sadie never thought she'd be dealing with. Sadie thought she was leaving the memories of her husband, a cop who died on duty, back in NY but now she has to deal with high school boyfriend/turned sheriff in Hoochville, TN. You'd think a yarn shop would be a quiet and sedate place to to be - nope. There is a dead body deposited and a PITA, jealous sister to deal with.
I loved that Sadie's friends are an eclectic bunch with different strengths and weaknesses and relationships. This is small town living at its best - not like those other small towns were everyone is a clone! Sadie is a determined to find out what happened and she's not above giving the sheriff a mouthful when she doesn't think he's doing enough!
I'm enjoying the fledgling love triangle that Sadie finds herself in!
