This duology is deliciously depraved and unhinged. In this book, we get more relational development between Kira and Nathaniel, and we get deeper into their (shared) history. 

Despite the darker themes of this book, I really enjoyed reading it. I'm happy that we're getting a book about Susie because I'm so intrigued with her relationship with Headmaster Arken.
