I read a different book by this author and loved it, but this one I *hated*. The main character was completely insufferable, refused to communicate, strung the MMC along, was stubborn, so immature, annoying and insanely selfish. I also hated that in the beginning she was fully emotionally cheating on her partner. Maybe they didn’t technically have sex until after they broke up but she was spending all her time with Josh, fell in love with him; and dodged calls from her partner. If she didn’t want to be with him fine, end it. The shadiness and lack of respect for her partner was a bad start to the book and I should’ve stopped there. The MMC was mostly okay but clearly didn’t understand consent which was frustrating for me at several points. I liked the secondary characters wayyy more than I liked the main ones. The accident was absolutely heartbreaking because I cared more about Sloane and Brandon than anyone else. The pregnancy at the end was so obvious and cliche and unrealistic I could see ir coming from miles away. At some point I may try reading another book by an author but I couldn’t wait to get this one over with and it left a sour taste in my mouth.
Graphic: Death, Infertility, and Car accident
Minor: Miscarriage
