Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood
3.0
3.5 stars
This is essentially just a Love Hypothesis retelling, which SHOULD have had me loving it and hollering it’s praises from the rooftops but :/
LOTS of science talk. I know our girl Ali is a Phd but dang hunny I was snoozin through those parts. It gave me the same feelings of Red, White, and Royal Blue where the politics talk was overkill and alllllmost took me out of the story.
I also was so annoyed at the utter CLUELESSNESS of Bee. She is so self deprecating and just accepts that a fully grown adult “despises” her. Miscommunication isn’t my least favorite trope, but I can’t handle it when it lasts 75 percent of the book.
I did love the spicy cutie romance parts though. Levi and Bee are so fun see together and kept me wanting more so it wasn’t a bust imo
