The Baker's Daughter by Sarah McCoy

5.0

What a fabulous book! I have to admit I always cringe a bit with this subject matter, there's never going to be an "easy" read about Germany during WWII. Never mind the addition of immigration along the Mexican/American border. I was always afraid of nightmares. However Sarah McCoy handles the subject matter with class - there is violence, but it is handled carefully and with the respect it deserves.
The message of the book is wonderful and I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is a champion of people in general and sees them as individuals.
Definitely a must read!
